Richie and Hollie get hitched!
On the border of Hampshire and Berkshire, amidst the tranquil grounds of Sillchester house overlooking acres of English country gardens with the sun glowing, and “Over and over again” by Nathan Sykes playing softly in the background, Richie and Hollie promised to stand beside each other as husband and wife forever moving forward. Hearing them speak their hand-written vows to one another was a moment that will not be forgotten. Just like love, it was not something to be described, but something to be felt and we all certainly felt it.
Hollie’s bridal party arrived early morning to start getting ready at their perfect little home in Reading. Copious amounts of croissants and coffees were on hand to keep the effects of little sleep at bay whilst the girls took it in turns to be made to look spectacular by the super talented make-up artist and hair stylist. The groom had organised a gift for his bride for the morning of, which consisted of a stunning Swarovski jewellery collection and a beautiful handmade DVD layered with songs and pictures of the journey they had to this moment in time been on together. The tears were definitely flowing and the love and friendship that filled the room was something else. Hollie and Richie are without a doubt a match made in heaven and her best friends were so grateful to be a part of their fairy-tale.
After capturing everything and more than we had hoped for we headed off to catch the Groom and his Groomsmen who were now at the venue. Opening the door, the sweet aroma of aftershave, leather and sweaty palms were everywhere to be smelt. However, despite the anticipation that was lingering there was a strong sense of ‘calm’ present. A calm that assured us that like the bridesmaids, Richie’s men were so proud and humble to be stood by his side on his special day and that he had certainty found his forever in Hollie.
Within a couple of hours, Hollie had (without being seen) made her way on site and the laugher that echoed down the short corridor connecting their rooms was contagious to anyone in earshot.
Around half 12, looking handsome as ever, the boys shifted themselves downstairs to greet the guests. The ceremony room was effortlessly beautiful. White rose petals marked the aisle along with sweet vanilla scented pillar candles that with every flicker made the room feel warm and romantic. The perfect setting for the perfect couple.
Just before the ceremony began, we had a moment with the bride. Hollie looked absolutely remarkable as expected and the delicate details on her dress sparkled with every breath she took. Her hair was spectacular; a unique pinned up design with just a few soft curls gently falling round her elegant face. Her eyes had a special twinkle. One that would suggest that she had never been so sure about anything in all her life.
The music started, and with a few breaths and the reassuring eyes of her maid of honour, in the arm of her father, she walked to finally marry the man of her dreams. Richie fell in love all over again.
After the I do’s, the new Mr and Mrs walked hand in hand under pale pink petals that family and friends threw in the air in celebration of two families becoming one. The sound of bubbles filled the courtyard and the festivities had begun.
The rest of the day was spent with us filming the natural moments that were just everywhere to be seen. The smiles, the fun and the laugher that rest of the day brought. From speeches to the first dance. There was just happiness everywhere...
